Sickle Cell
Who Am I
My name is Tristan and I have been a portrait photographer working in south London for nearly 10 years. Being an ethnic minority, I like to explore issues related to race and its relation to daily life in London.
A few of my portraits can be seen here
What I’m trying to achieve
This project is an exploration of the human stories behind sickle cell, educating people through portraiture. Nothing too invasive, just hearing stories and seeing what portraits present themselves. I would love to find people in the local community, help people understand the magnitude of the effect that sickle cell has on the individual and the family.
How would it work
If you’re up for it, I would just like to get in contact, have a quick conversation and discuss a time and a place that I could come and take a few portraits. From there it’s just about seeing what pictures tell the story that we want to tell.
Please get in touch if you’d be OK with me reaching out!
